Ravi Chand earned his undergraduate degree from the esteemed JNU in New Delhi and his MBA from Central Queensland University in Australia. He returned to India in 1999 and established Uniplus with the goal of promoting international education in Patna, the capital of his state. He has spent more than 12 years contributing to IDP Education, the largest foreign education consultancy in the world, in the UAE and Qatar because he is passionate about global higher education. He was also in charge of IDP Qatar’s and the UAE’s commercial development and IELTS operations. He provided guidance to sponsors and the UAE government during this time on a variety of topics, including assisting to compile a list of colleges where sponsored students might attend classes abroad. More than 10,000 students have been admitted to various overseas universities thanks to his efforts. Ravi Chand is a writer, a columnist for several foreign newspapers, a champion of human rights, and a prominent member of his community. He has received numerous awards for his volunteer activities in the community while at Covid, including The Economic Times’ Global Leaders Award for his support of international higher education. He serves as a panelist for numerous subject experts in international relations and higher education. He has contributed to the government of India’s new education policy, NEP 2020, and is helping it to implement it successfully. The major contribution from Ravi to New Education Policy NEP 2020 is towards allowing foreign Universities to set up a campus in India and vice versa.
